
Good news for everyone working with LXC and Incus containers: Rocky and Alma Linux 10 container images are now available to install.
The official image server shows the 10 release added on August 27th 2025:

The combined work of Stéphane Graber (LXC and Incus maintainer), Michael Stauber and others allowed the tackle the initial issues with the package manager inside the image template.
The lxc-download template now shows almalinux and rockylinux release 10 as available container installation on amd64 and arm64 architectures:

The following example shows how to create a new LXC container with Rocky Linux 10 installed:
root@linux ~ # lxc-create -n rocky10 -t download -- -d rockylinux -r 10 -a amd64
